Job description
Job Title: Legal & Company Secretary Executive
Responsibilities:
- Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance principles.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements.
- Corporate Secretarial Functions: Manage and execute corporate secretarial duties, including board meetings, AGMs, and filings.
- Regulatory Liaison: Interact with regulatory authorities and ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
- Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence and provide support for business transactions.
- Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies to protect the organization.
- Legal Research: Stay updated on legal developments and provide insights on their impact on the business.
- Document Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation for legal and company secretarial matters.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between legal, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Degree in Law; Company Secretary qualification preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in legal and company secretarial functions.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of corporate law, compliance, and regulatory landscape.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proactive: Self-motivated and capable of taking initiative in a dynamic work environment.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with legal research tools.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing legal and business environments.
