Job description

Sr. Cloud Engineer (Backend) is a crucial role in product development team at Carrier. This role would focus on design and development of frontend application development by following Carrier software development standards.

Primary responsibilities :

As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, you ll be responsible for:

• Design, develop AWS IoT/Cloud-based applications using Typescript, Node.Js
• Work closely with onsite, offshore, and cross functional teams, Product Management, frontend developers, SQA teams to effectively use technologies to build and deliver high quality and on-time delivery
• Proactively Identify risks and failure modes early in the development lifecycle and develop POCs to mitigate the risks early in the program
• Assertive communication and team skills
• This individual be self-directed, highly motivated, and organized with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and an ability to work on multiple projects and function in a team environment.
• Keep an eye on NFR s and ensure our product is meeting all required compliances as per Carrier standards.

Experience and Skills Required:

• 4-6 years of overall experience in Software domain
• At least 3 years of experience in Cloud native applications
• Solid working knowledge of Typescript, NodeJS
• Thorough working knowledge in AWS, Lambdas, Microservices etc.,
• Experience in executing CI/CD processes
• Experience in Microservices Architecture
• Good Knowledge on Cloud security & security design control implementation
• Experience in developing APIs [Rest, GraphQL] and MQTT protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in deploying web application to an EC2 instance using container and Kubernetes Strong understanding of various AWS services: IAM, security, data storage and databases (S3, DynamoDB, RedShift, Aurora, Timestream, Document DB, Neptune), AppSync, API gateway, AWS SDK, Kinesis, ElasticCache, CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, Elastic Load Balancer, Cloud Front, SNS, SAM and Lambda Very good experience with source control management tool - AWS code Commit, Circle CI, GIT etc. Experience in using IOT simulator to simulate devices

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage complex problems & multiple concurrent projects with a penchant for meeting the deadlines and key milestones. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interface effectively with all levels within the organization, including executive and senior management teams.
