Job description
BROAD FUNCTION & OBJECTIVES The Accountant is responsible for the day to day management of the finance and administrative function of the trading and manufacturing operations of an International client's India business, including but not limited to:
Financial Accounting & Compliance Working closely with external consultant to ensure full compliance with all direct and indirect tax, and Reporting obligations, on timely basis Timely completion of month end closing and internal reporting requirement Effective management of annual external audit timetable and process Maintenance of integrity of General Ledger and accuracy of Balance Sheet Costing & Management Reporting Custody of product costing Preparation of inventory & material ledger and its reconciliation Standard costing management and analysis of standard cost variance Satisfaction of all management reporting requirements Full insights of the business’s financial and business performance Transactions Cash flow management Customer Credit Management Maintenance of strict and consistent banking practices Management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Management of Payroll, and all payroll-related compliance requirements, including but not limited to leave records, MPF calculation & etc Assist in managing the recruitment process of all employees Others Project manage company secretarial process with external advisor – including directors’ and shareholders’ resolutions etc Manage all aspects of day to day running of office – including office suppliers and coordination with centralized IT Team Be business partner for General Manager Ad hoc tasks and projects Job Title: Accountant Reports To: General Manager – India Location: India - Hyderabad Date: 12 Feb 2024 Essential requirements for the position: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Minimum 3 years of working experiences in handling full set of accounts Previous experience with a Big Four Professional Services Firm is preferred Previous working experience in interacting with overseas corporate office will be a plus High degree of technical and analytical competence Meticulous and exceptional attention to detail Ability to identify and prioritise key compliance issues Clear written and verbal communication in English Proactive & independence Flexible and solutions focused Possess good working attitude and have strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
