Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura's businesses around the world. Powai' s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura's global operations and are an integral part of Nomura's global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura's global business.

Divisional Overview (Mandatory):

Powai Finance is an integral part of the CFO division and plays a key role in various Finance functions ranging from Treasury, Global Middle Office, Financial Control & Regulatory Reporting, Global Infrastructure, Cost Analyticsand MI. Located strategically to cater to multiple time zones, Powai Finance ensures internal and regulatory deliverables across all regions are supported.

Business Unit Overview (If Applicable):

CMA team in Mumbai is an extension of the Global CMA team providing Analytical and Quantitative Support to the onshore teams. Team caters to Monthly book closure as well as MIS requirements of senior management across Nomura Group (Retail, Wholesale, Corporate divisions) and regions (Japan, AeJ, EMEA and US). Team is responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting of Revenues, Expenses and other financial resources.

Within CMA, Cost Control team caters to month end close and MIS requirements and provides Cost analytics to senior management of Nomura Group division across all regions. The team is comprised of dedicated regional groups based in Powai supporting Global stakeholders in Europe, Asia-Ex, Japan and US.

Position Specifications:

Role & Responsibilities:

• Support Cost Management & Analytics team in month end close and cost allocation within the function / region as well as to business.
• Preparation and review of accrual files and having calls for finalising accruals, prepayments.
• Preparation and submission of AV (Account verification) for governance and substantiation.
• Co-ordinating with Global stakeholders and CAOs across regions to formulate allocation methodologies and drivers.
• Consolidation and Reporting of firm wide expenses and IT (Technology) allocations.
• Deep dive on Technology cost allocations to provide meaningful insights to business.
• Assisting onshore with budgeting activities during budget period.
• Re-engineer existing processes and report enhancements.
• Adhoc, Projects, Presentations, MIS requests.
