Job Title: Quality Inspector (Sheet Metal Manufacturing)
Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector with expertise in sheet metal manufacturing processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality inspection methodologies, ISO documentation, and possess hands-on experience with punching, bending, laser cutting, shearing machines, and other related equipment. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process and ensuring compliance with ISO regulations. The candidate must be willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, to support our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of sheet metal components to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Verify the accuracy of setups and machine settings for punching, bending, laser cutting, shearing, and other manufacturing processes.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control data.
Identify and report non-conforming products or materials and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions in compliance with ISO standards.
Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and identify areas for improvement.
Provide training and support to production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement design changes as necessary.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by actively participating in problem-solving activities and root cause analysis.

Primary Skills:
Strong knowledge and experience in sheet metal manufacturing processes, including punching, bending, laser cutting, and shearing.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools and equipment.
Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Secondary Skills:
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
Familiarity with quality inspection software and databases.
Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to operate and program CNC machines (desired but not mandatory).

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality assurance or engineering is preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection within a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and production tracking is a plus.
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
