Takeoff Technologies, a Massachusetts based tech company, is the creator of the world's first automated micro fulfillment center (MFCs) that transforms the way people access groceries. Our solution provides retailers with the most cost efficient way to fulfill their online grocery orders, using automated, hyperlocal micro fulfillment centers.
This is a hybrid role where some time will be spent in our Pune office and some time spent working remotely. The expectation is for this person to be in the office 2-3 days a week.
Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and management focused IT Director to join our team to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems. The ideal candidate will be business minded with the ability to integrate and implement system solutions to address the operational requirements of the department, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry's best practice processes. The role will primarily focus on the management and development of the department including management of budgets and communication with other executives to ensure operational productivity.
Primary Responsibilities - Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Identifies technology needs and makes recommendations to business decision makers.
- Evaluates the company's adherence to various compliance technology requirements for security.
- Designs, develops, implements and coordinates systems, policies and procedures.
- Identifies problematic areas and implements strategic solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required; masters degree preferred.
- Overall experience of 15+ years in IT
- At least 5 years of experience managing an IT department.
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management of remote fleet of assets (laptops, video conferencing)
- Thorough understanding of IT and relevant systems to support the company's goal.
- Proficient in Google Workspace management, Atlassian, MacOS, Windows
- Proficient in tools related to Single Sign On, Remote device management
- Expertise in data center management and data governance
- Handson experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
