Job Title: Platform Manager (Dry Mix)
Reporting to: Operations Department Manager
Function: Supply Chain (Manufacturing)
Location: Nashik Plant
POSITION SUMMARY / PURPOSE:
To ensure that Manufacturing facility delivers as per plan with respect to specified plan of cost & deliverables within quality norms & defined efficiencies.
Assist the Plant head in manufacturing related activities of the plant platform with the objective of providing high quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
- Ensure Availability of Production Forecast.
- Ensure all the Resources are available for Manufacturing.
- Responsible for Cost, Quality, Quantity, Efficiencies, velocity & Safety.
- Internal Trainer, Guide.
- To track the budgets for Production.
- Responsible for all the Manufacturing related KPI.
- To facilitate all the new upcoming Projects & Production Trials.
- Responsible to facilitate the Preventive maintenance program.
- To ensure implementation of all General Mills Policy for Production, Quality, Maintenance & Safety.
- To ensure regulatory requirements & other Related Governing & Regulatory laws are complied with.
- Able to get all production figures in time & plan further Manufacturing activities accordingly. (Keep track of Demand & supply closely with help of SCM)
- Basis available plan schedule further production Week & day wise. (Communicate effectively to Shift Executive & keep them aware about changes)
- Ensure all day wise plan is in line with available RM & PM (in coordination with Supply Chain Manager Gets Involved in running MRP.)
- Cost per Case to be monitored & analyzed by keeping close track of Cost variance due to usage & procurement also overhead cost need to be controlled by using resources in most effective way (e.g.: Man days/ton, Power/EQC, Water/EQC.)
- Plant & Equipment capacity to be reviewed based on SKU & update timely with changes related to process, modification in equipment/Machine.
- On timely Manner Review Line Capacity as & when changes takes place in Equipment, Manufacturing Process or recipe, variant, also get the updated Master File which includes all details related to pro duct.
Operational Leadership:
- To Monitor System Performance & Analyze Gaps, losses & plan work towards reducing it.
- To set the quality standards in the Manufacturing department i.e. CGMP, HACCP & other quality requirements as per General Mills Quality policy.
- To formulate & implement all safety policies at shop floor to create safe working environment, ensure maximum participation of shop floor members in safety week celebration & keep them aware of latest safe working conditions.
- To ensure Shift Executive is able to maintain effective shop floor discipline and to achieve the best results from the available resources.
- To ensure all manufacturing equipments are maintained in good workable conditions as General Mills Policy.
- Preventive maintenance program as per design need to be followed religiously to get best result & performance of machines, which would minimize down time & break down percentage(eg: JI-cards, Machine History, Spare Management, Lock out tag out, schedules, frequencies)
- To Analyze Production Report (Daily, MTD & YTD) & Analyze Output is as per requirement & Standards which results to deliver Set KPI (RM, PM, Power, Water per EQC as set Targets).
- To ensure all operators are trained on respective manufacturing equipment operational practices, preventive maintenance & trouble shooting processes along with safety & HACCP procedures.
- To Prepare Internal Training Module on Mfg. Process, Equipment/Machine operation & Maintenance, CGMP, HACCP, QSD & work as an Internal Trainer for Shift Executive & shop floor Associates.
- To Develop, Groom & Train Executives as per company requirements and align them with changes from time to time.
- To Formulate & implement system for updating & monitoring KPI Reports.
- To ensure that the manufacturing facility achieves its production targets as per rolling plan and dispatch schedules
- To ensure regulatory requirements of Weights and measures & other Related Governing & Regulatory laws are complied with.
- To monitor the productivity through continuous improvement process in the manufacturing area and in line with the Programmes Prepared by the Organization. (Think & Act Differently).
- To Ensure MPS results are as per target, all month end activities are planned in co-ordination with supporting departments.
- To Act as Mentor, Guide for all Production Executives & colleagues.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS :
- Tech in Mechanical / Production / Electrical with IIT / NIT or premium institute
- 8 to 10 years of experience in reputed FMCG/Food industries with exposure to Production, Shop floor and CGMP and well versed with Food Safety & maintenance Aspects
