Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. The Senior Bioinformatics Scientist will be responsible for designing and implementing bioinformatics analysis plans, analyzing data from high throughput sequencing experiments, writing bioinformatics pipelines and scripts, and presenting results to interdisciplinary research teams. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NGS (Multiomics) Expert to join our Service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our efforts in analyzing NGS data, developing NGS methodologies, and integrating with multi-omics data. This role requires a deep understanding of genomics and data analysis techniques. Responsibilities: Work closely with clients to understand their NGS analysis needs and requirements, including familiarity with Illumina, Pacbio, Nanopore and Thermo workflows and data collection methods. Utilize expertise in single cell data analysis to provide insightful solutions and recommendations. Collaborate with team members to explore and implement new NGS R and python packages and ensure successful project execution within defined timelines. Understanding of spatially informed clustering algorithms and image registration techniques for high throughput datasets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biologists, chemists, and data scientists, to integrate NGS data with other multiomics data (metabolomics, proteomics) for comprehensive biological insights. Stay abreast of advancements in NGS technologies and methodologies and implement cutting-edge techniques to enhance research capabilities. Generate comprehensive reports documenting analysis outcomes, findings, and recommendations. Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project execution within defined timelines. Requirements & Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in a relevant field such as bioinformatics, computational biology, or biochemistry plus 3 years of industrial/academic experience. Proven experience in NGS analysis and working with Illumina data, including multiple workflows and data collection methods. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, with the ability to learn new scientific packages. Strong understanding of NGS software tools Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, for data analysis and workflow development. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
