About The Role - Investment Analyst
We are looking for stellar individual who can act as generalists in the business and investment team to work on varying degrees of problems across investment, wealth products, growth and investor relations.
The role is ideally tailored for individuals with experience in wealth management firm or venture capital and have an all-round understanding of a diverse range of asset classes (ranging from start-up investments to alternative and traditional assets) and is eager to immerse themselves in a high-pressure environment, alongside a founding team building for the next generation of wealthy.
Key Responsibilities
Deals/Investments
- Work with the Deal Discovery/ Investment team to source and manage deal flow and investment opportunities
- Support the deal evaluation process with market and sectoral research along with detailed competition analysis, logistical and coordination support
- Analyse business plans, financial models and prepare investment memorandum
- Assist in portfolio management activities (this includes sharing periodic updates with the investors)
- Coordinate with startup founders and other stakeholders to execute defined workstreams in the transaction process
Investor Relations
- Engage with prospective angel investors, partner networks, VCs, family offices, CXOs, etc.
- Run the defined demand mandate to attract potential investors
- Support organising Demo days, learning sessions & other events.
Wealth Products
- Perform in-depth analysis of various wealth/ investment products (private, exotic and traditional) encompassing a comprehensive evaluation of their structure, market performance, risk profile, and alignment with evolving investor needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate user insights into products.
- Forge alliances with various stakeholders essential for building the product
Growth Initiatives
- Create compelling data-driven presentations & reports
- Support IC strategic initiatives including GTMs and business development activities
The Ideal Candidate
- CFA or MBA or CA with about 1-3 yrs of experience
- Outstanding track record of academic achievement with excellent communication skills
- Experience in (a) wealth management firm or (b) venture capital, would be an advantage
- Is passionate about the fintech, investment and VC space
- Is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Is analytical, data driven & a problem solver
- Is a team player with the ability to work independently
- Can deal with ambiguity & is comfortable working in chaos
- Knows their way around PPT and Excel
???? Having a good network within the tech and startup ecosystem, and prior experience in the startup or wealth ecosystem (startup, VC, angel network, family office, incubator, accelerator, investment banking, e-cell) is a big plus but not compulsory.
