About Us In Office/ On Media Purpose of the role We are looking for network manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic direction of the computer network within an organization. They lead a team of network administrators and engineers, ensuring that the network infrastructure is secure, efficient, and aligned with the organization's goals
Responsibilities Network Strategy and Planning: - Develop and implement the overall network strategy, in alignment with the organization's objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into network infrastructure needs.
- Conduct regular assessments of the network to identify areas for improvement and propose strategic solutions.
- Define and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards.
Team Leadership And Management - Supervise a team of network administrators and engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Coordinate and prioritize team activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Network Infrastructure Management - Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's Private and Public cloud network infrastructure
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of the network, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Collaborate with network engineers to evaluate and select network equipment, software, and service providers.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the network infrastructure.
Network Security And Compliance - Establish and enforce network security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Monitor and assess network vulnerabilities and risks, implementing appropriate security measures.
- Coordinate with the IT security team to respond to and mitigate network security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data protection requirements.
Vendor And Budget Management - Evaluate and select vendors and service providers for network-related products and services.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develop and manage the network budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money.
- Stay informed about emerging network technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for network upgrades and investments.
Stakeholder Communication - Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to understand their network requirements and address their needs.
- Communicate network-related updates, projects, and issues to executive management and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports on network performance, projects, and metrics.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on network infrastructure developments and improvements.
Prior Experience Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
Domain Knowledge Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and security practices.
IT Skills CCNA or higher. Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
Behavioral - Experience in managing and leading a team of network administrators or engineers.
- Proven work experience in network management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Technical - Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, Express Routes, security practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Solid understanding of network architecture, including LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
- Ability to analyze complex network issues and provide strategic solutions.
