Category Management Keep abreast with latest market trends, technological changes and other external factors that determine the procurement & planning strategies. Generate insights based on external data on price & supply trends to support procurement decisions.
Price Management Work on a total cost of ownership basis defining and detailing each element of cost. Review cost elements like geography of supply, MOQ and lead times to reduce overall cost of ownership. Ensure procurement cost is lower than or equal to market through market insights (ICIS ) like value chain analysis, cost breakup module and other external statistics. Ensure that the buying price proposed has been arrived at after receiving quotations from all relevant sources and after negotiations and due diligence. Analyse and identify ways to reduce cost of procurement through (non-exhaustive): Alternate vendor development Value engineering Volume negotiations Payment term negotiations Annual discounts Process adherence and Master maintenance ยท Ensure adherence and suggest inputs to all related SPPBMs, wherever necessary. Vendor Development Identify, select & finalize new vendors for new & existing products in order to get rate advantage, better quality or meet global shortage. Build relationship with vendors through periodic meets. Assist sourcing manager for single source elimination. Purchase Process Carry out price negotiations for class A and B products. Carry out internal & external audits to ensure adherence to all compliance norms. Ensure statutory compliance norms are met for all transactions / agreements. System Development & Automation Development of costing template other than Rigid PM category and developing the online portal for automation wherever possible Support Role Assist in executing risk management actions Assist in executing Audit & audit related actions Education & Experience Any Graduation with 7 to 12 Years of experience in Purchasing / ProcurementJob tags
