Role:
The role is meant to assist the Executive Administrative Manager in matters concerning Staff Housing (including major and minor renovations, furniture & furnishings), Hospitality, and overseeing the smooth functioning of the KIS Guest Facilities.

Qualifications & Experiences
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum - Bachelors’ degree from a recognized university
- Utilisation of CAD and 3D visualisation software (Autocad, SketchUp, Rivet etc.)
- At least three years of full-time experience managing facilities in a school setup.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An advanced degree - Masters, A civil Engineering, Architectural or an Interior Design degree.
Preferred Experiences:
- Establishing and participating in collaborative structures;
- Utilizing data to make informed decisions;
- Utilizing technology tools primarily with respect to Project conceptualisation, planning and execution
Preferred Skills and Dispositions:
- Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English (oral and written); fluency in spoken Tamil or willingness to undertake instruction preferable
- Deadline oriented with ability to make sound and informed decisions
- Proven ability to work effectively with people from all cultures and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Team player with ability to delegate and coordinate work;

Reports To: Executive Administrative Manager
Coordinates With: Estate Manager, Maintenance Manager, Human Resource Manager
Time Period: Initial 2-year contract, potential extensions after initial contract
Responsibilities
Instruction
A KIS Professional Staff member is expected to provide high quality deliverables for the students and staff at KIS (as would be expected from a premier international school). The expectations would be as follows:
- In consultation with the Estates Manager and the Maintenance Manager, be responsible for major and minor renovations of KIS staff apartments and setting up of apartments/houses allocated to staff
- Ensure appropriate repair and maintenance work for staff apartments
- Ensure adequate furnishing and equipment are provided
- Monitor on-going housing concerns
- Make recommendations to the Executive Adm Manager and Principal on housing new and continuing staff, and to ensure that equity among staff housing is maintained
- Be responsible for maintaining current housing inventories
- Assist in arranging host families for new staff
- Hospitality for new staff
- Inspect staff houses and prioritize renovations; liaise with maintenance department to ensure progress with renovations
- Be responsible with the Maintenance Manager for the development of an on-going plan for staff housing maintenance appropriate to each unit
- Arrange for domestic help for incoming staff
- Assist all staff in their housing needs

- Implement decisions made in department- and school-committee meetings, as relevant to the department;
- Follow the guidelines of the school’s protective behaviour policies and protocols and personal data protection policies and procedures, including reporting any situation that might constitute a health and/or safety hazard to students or school employees, and reporting any personal data breach.
- To respect the confidential nature of discussions at staff meetings and other contexts in which sensitive information is likely to be communicated; particularly in terms of interaction with students;
- The staff member is expected to perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Executive Administrative Manager, or Principal.
