Role Description:
This is a full-time hybrid role for where you will play a pivotal role in the smooth functioning and growth of our virtual yoga studio. You will be responsible for creating and managing new classes, coordinating schedules, assigning teachers, handling substitutions, class quality assurance, teacher leave management, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the studio operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Class Creation:
- Develop new yoga class formats, ensuring alignment with the studio's vision and goals.
- Create detailed class descriptions, including key elements, benefits, and intended outcomes.
- Document all class information in an organized Excel sheet.
- Replicate regular classes and coordinate one-time weekend workshops, incorporating technological elements for enhanced engagement.
2. Yoga Calendar Management:
- Maintain and update the yoga calendar with accurate class schedules and details.
- Execute administrative tasks related to class scheduling and ensure timely communication with teachers and students.
3. Teacher Assignment:
- Assign suitable teachers to new classes and formats based on expertise and availability.
- Communicate class details and expectations clearly to assigned teachers.
- Facilitate smooth transitions when introducing new formats or teachers.
4. Substitution Coordination:
- Proactively identify potential teacher absences and coordinate substitutes when needed.
- Reach out to the appropriate teachers to ensure timely substitutions.
- Maintain a detailed log of teacher substitutions for future reference.
5. Teacher Leaves:
- Handle logistics and communication when a teacher takes a leave of absence.
- Collaborate with teachers and management to minimize disruptions during periods of teacher absence.
6. Training Attendance Coordination:
- Coordinate and track attendance for teacher training programs.
- Announce and enforce new policies related to training attendance.
- Provide support to teachers participating in training programs.
7. Class Quality Assurance:
- Go through class recordings regularly to ensure consistent quality standards throughout classes on Shvasa.
- Report any discrepancies in class formats/structure/quality.
- Work closely with the training and operations team in implementing revised quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a yoga studio, fitness center, or related industry, with a focus on operations or management
- Knowledge of yoga practices, terminology, and teaching styles.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.Bachelor's degree in a related field such as yoga, health and wellness, or business
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage a team
- Experience with scheduling software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus
- Passion for yoga and a desire to make it accessible to all
