Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated

Quantity Surveyor

with a background in

Civil Engineering

to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects related to cost estimation, billing, cost assessment, and project management to ensure that construction projects are completed within budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will have

2 to 4 years of experience

in the field and possess strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors. Utilize industry knowledge, project specifications, and quantity take-offs to ensure estimates are comprehensive and realistic.

Billing:

Coordinate billing activities, including invoice generation, review, and submission to clients or relevant stakeholders. Ensure billing is accurate, timely, and complies with contractual agreements.

Cost Assessment:

Continuously assess project costs throughout the construction lifecycle. Identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate risks, and address any discrepancies or variances from the budget.

Budget Management : Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to establish project budgets and monitor expenditure against these budgets. Implement effective cost control measures to keep projects within budgetary constraints.

Cost Analysis : Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.

Project Management Support : Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial goals align with project objectives. Provide support in project planning, scheduling, and procurement activities. Assist in risk management and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

or related field.

1-4 years of experience in quantity surveying or related roles within the construction industry. Proficiency in cost estimation techniques, quantity take-offs, and construction cost management. Strong understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Proficient in relevant software tools and platforms, such as Excel, AutoCAD and project management software. Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
