About Grasim Industries Limited - Paints Business (Birla Opus)

A new venture in the space of paints, Birla Paints division - Grasim is set to offer a diversified new-age portfolio of paints and related products in line with global megatrends. Planned to have presence across multiple locations in India.

Ahead of the launch, Grasim has successfully piloted the first-of-its-kind painting services in key metros and introduced a range of imported wood finishes. A cutting-edge R&D facility has already been set up in Maharashtra.

Grasim had previously committed an investment of Rs.10,000 crore towards setting up the paints business. The company's state-of-the-art manufacturing plants located in Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and West Bengal, will have a total capacity of 1,332 million litres per annum (MLPA), and will serve demand centres across the country.

The current estimated value of India's decorative paints industry is Rs 70,000 Crore. The paints industry is witnessing double digit growth year-on-year driven by rising consumer aspirations and the government's push towards 'Housing for All'.

Position Overview:

The Activation Manager will play a crucial role in executing marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of brand activation, merchandising, executing marketing campaigns, handling multiple vendors, working closely with cross functional teams. Candidate will be responsible for activation campaigns for dealers and influencers in entire region.

Reporting to Activation Lead (based out of HO) and dotted line reporting to Zonal Manager

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

Campaign Strategy: Develop execution plan for marketing campaigns that align with the overall marketing objectives and brand positioning for the region. Translate national merchandising plans into actionable strategies tailored to the regional market. Leading Signage boards execution, developing instore materials, managing POSM development, wall painting networks

Trade events: Lead regional trade events including planning, execution, and post-event analysis. Ensure events are conducted in desired territory, within budget and in-line with set KPIs.

Vendor Management: Identifying, appointing regional vendors, and managing end to end operations. Develop innovative brand assets to leverage local nuances.

Budget Management: Responsible for managing campaign budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective methods

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the vendors, marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns across multiple channels like traditional dealer outlet, trade events, influencer meets. Work closely with regional sales teams to cater local activation requirements, act as a first point of contact for activation needs for a zone

Team management: Lead team of regional activation executives for seamless execution of brand campaigns. Responsible for end-to-end process for flawless activation execution for entire region

Data Analysis : Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics, deriving insights to optimize future campaigns, make data-driven decisions. Report local insights and recommendations for future readiness
