Job description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To drive and execute the Marketplace strategy and team to maximize sales and profitability. Responsible to lead work direction of team, analyze, expand, optimize, and communicate online marketplace initiatives and opportunities to deliver sales and profit goals.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Works with Marketplace team in driving and implementing the Marketplace strategy to maximize product listing counts and content across all marketplaces to increase topline revenue and conversion opportunities.
- Responsible for the Channel Advisor system; optimizing its capabilities through launch plans, pricing and promotional programs.
- Leads, coaches and develops Marketplace Associates to deliver online financial performance along with brand-right, powerful and consistent content per company standards.
- Develops and responsible for reporting and communicating marketplace scorecard and performance on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Responsible for analyzing trends, identifying issues and recommending solutions in order to achieve KPIs. Able to research issues, define opportunities and recommend changes and opportunities to enhance overall performance and brand of categories and items in partnership with manager.
- Responsible for overall online content. Able to create, edit and modify content for product offerings utilizing multiple resources, stakeholders and vendors. Optimizes and maintains product content including images, titles, descriptions, videos, enhanced content, and categorization to maximize the exposure and conversion impact for each product listing within every marketplace account.
- Reviews detailed revenue, expense and product level reporting to identify positive or negative trends and respond accordingly. Assists manager in managing overall P&L for Marketplace.
- Enhances the onsite advertising opportunities within each marketplace to gain additional exposure for select products in areas reserved for featured sellers.
- Researches and assists with implementation of new marketplace expansions to gain additional exposure and sale of marketable products at an acceptable advertising rate.
- Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in marketing, data analytics or related field
- 2-4 years supervisory experience in an ecommerce environment
- 5+ years working for ecommerce channels or online experience
- 2-5 years Channel Advisor experience preferred
- Strong background working with Amazon, ebay and Walmart
- Ability to work closely with others and adapt to changing business priorities
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to define promotions, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, demonstrate strong attention to detail, work independently and prioritize tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of audiences and demonstrate a high degree of skill in grammar, punctuation, spelling and motivational language appropriate to the position
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong working knowledge of PowerBI
