Job Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving the quality software solutions into production. The role requires working in a highly collaborative way, working closely with other Quality Engineers, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Project Managers, located in the UK and offshore.
You'll be part of an inter-disciplinary team working in an agile environment. This role will involve development and execution of test cases, defect management, defect analysis, data investigations, delivering good quality test results to enable business owners in understanding business impacts, assisting test manager in defining the testing approach, strategies and automation required to support the teams with their deliveries.
Essential Skills - Strong Quality Assurance / Engineering background with a knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices and Test Tools.
- Proficient in Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL and SAS Enterprise Guide
- Ability to come up with test cases appropriate to the solution, test approach and business requirements
- Ability to write SAS codes to implement test cases, produce test results, test data setup, etc.
- Technical background and able to learn and develop technical skills (building test automation solutions)
- Problem solving, written and verbal communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from different sources, allowing the provision of effective solutions in complex environments
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to understand technical functionality and articulate information
- Knowledge of the Agile methodology and the systems that support this (Jira, scrums and stand ups)
- Knowledge of banking products
Education & Experience - 10+ years quality engineering/ test management experience
- 5-7 year of experience on SAS tools
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Master's Degree Preferred
- Experience in data analysis and profiling
- Strong SQL skills required scripting preferred
- Strong Knowledge of all phases of the system development life cycle
