Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Staff Engineer with a focus on Cloud Operations to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Ops Senior Staff Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring a seamless and efficient developer experience internally. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong DevOps background who has evolved into modern CloudOps practices. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain day-to-day operations of our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. Implement monitoring solutions and respond to incidents, ensuring system stability and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate continuous deployment and delivery practices. Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts for streamlined operational tasks. Optimize cloud costs through monitoring resource usage and implementing cost-saving strategies. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain cloud security measures. Work closely with developers to enhance the overall developer experience internally. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 10+ years of industry experience. Experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management, and deployment in cloud environments. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash). Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles. Excellent DevOps acumen with a strong operational excellence mindset. Experience working with one or more cloud platforms like AWS, Azure. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
