Role/ Job Title: Production Support
Function/ Department: Information Technology
Job Purpose:
The role entails the responsibility of providing production support to bank's software applications. It includes administering and resolving day to day production applications issues, providing updates and perform root cause analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Handling TCS Bancs CBS application.
- Working with different products surrounding interface systems across different applications.
- Co-ordinate with relevant stakeholders and vendor systems / products.
- Design production support procedures, policies, and documentation.
- Prepare recovery procedures for all applications and provide upgrade to same.
- Establish the root causes of production errors and escalate serious concerns.
- Manage code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.
- Create a monitoring plan for continuous development and upgradation.
- Supervise all alerts related to production application and system procedures and provide services proactively.
- Knowledge in Application/product Implementation, deployment, Version maintenance, Release Management & Change Management, Testing (Application, Performance, Penetration, Smoke, Sanity, Regression).
- Provide end-to-end production support on IT Applications, Integrations, and mobile apps.
- Provide L1 and L2 monitoring and application support with EOD/BOD experience.
- In-Depth knowledge on both functional and technical areas of core products, its life cycle, processing & implementations.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Total experience of 2 to 5years in Banking. Minimum experience of 2 years in implementing/ Production support and delivery products solutions and processing.
- Preferred qualifications.
- Good Retail banking and corporate banking functional knowledge will be preferred.
- Should have good experience of TCS Bancs
- Should have worked in at least one core banking product.
- Functional & Technical Knowledge of CBS Liability / Payments Module is must.
- Must have good analytical skills and debugging skills.
- Should have knowledge of PL/SQL, COBOL, Unix, and Java.
- Should be able to think logically and provide solutions from IT perspective.
- Motivated, disciplined, and able to work in team environment.
- Ability to deal with and communicate with all levels.
- Should be ready to work 24 X 7
- Knowledge in Application/product Implementation, deployment, Version maintenance, Release Management & Change Management, Testing (Application, Performance, Penetration, Smoke, Sanity, Regression).
Educational Qualification(Fulltime):
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in production support.
