Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure large grants and RFPs, with a focus on raising $100,000 annually.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with potential partners and donors, proactively scheduling and conducting a minimum of 7-10 meetings per month.
Customize fundraising pitches to resonate with donor interests and align with Perkins' mission and impact.
Oversee the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and Perkins' objectives.
Collaborate closely with Perkins India team members to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and monitor grant outcomes.
Represent Perkins India at external events and conferences, showcasing our achievements and fostering strategic partnerships.
Provide regular updates and reports on fundraising activities, pipeline development, and grant submissions to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with a minimum of 12 years of fundraising experience, ideally within the education or disability sector.
Proven track record of successfully closing large grants and RFPs, exceeding fundraising targets, and building lasting donor relationships.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate Perkins' mission and impact persuasively.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-driven mindset and a commitment to excellence.
Leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate fundraising activities and inspire team members.
Professionalism and sound judgment, with the capacity to make strategic decisions and navigate complex donor relationships.
Experience working in diverse and multicultural environments, with sensitivity to the needs and challenges of individuals with disabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Availability to travel as required.
