Job description

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant assists the accounting team in various financial and accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. This role involves supporting day-to-day financial operations, preparing financial documents, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording transactions in the general ledger.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process and verify invoices for payment.
Prepare and send out invoices to customers.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Expense Management:

Review and process employee expense reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies regarding expenses.
Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Generate financial analyses as required.
Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Data Entry:

Enter financial data into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
Audit Support:

Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Ad Hoc Tasks:

Undertake special projects and additional tasks as assigned by senior members of the finance team.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:

Entry-level position; relevant internship or coursework in accounting is a plus.
