Job description
SUMMARY To provide crucial support to the Corporate Head – F&B, by his/her observatory, analytical and coordination skills with F&B knowledge at the core. Must have hands-on capabilities of various F&B operations. Must have excellent communication skills and should be approachable, open minded and dependable. Must be up to date with current domestic and international F&B trends.
RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with extensive research which is needed for new concepts. Visits various websites, publications and social media platforms on a regular basis to cull out and categorize ideas. Assists with all concept statement preparation. Typing up ideas. Coordinating ideas from all key stake holders. Follows up with various consultants once projects get underway – designers, F&B consultants, Kitchen consultants, music consultant, chefs, mentor chefs and corporate IT Follows up on ongoing projects by attending progress meetings in Corp Head’s absence Once projects get underway, more frequent site visits as corporate head cannot go all the time and has to focus on other initiatives. Provides planning and other pre-opening assistance to projects on the threshold of opening. Under the guidance of the Corp. head, develops the beverage portfolio across all our bars. Assist with organizing group level initiatives like chef competitions Work on a pop up calendar for various key hotels Plays an active part in F&B tastings Screening of food and beverage samples and vendors which are forwarded by CPD, hotels or other relevant sources. Coordinator of all projects – liaise with projects to ensure progress and ensure timely inputs. Coordinate with corporate marketing and PR, two critical arms for new and existing F&B operations. REQUIREMENTS 8 to 10 years of active food and beverage operation covering bars, restaurants, banquets. The person should be curious and deeply passionate about food and beverage. Well-travelled and exposed to F&B trends. Self-motivated, creative, organized. High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.Job tags
