About The Role

Linux Administrator with SFTP skills

Job Summary

We are looking for a Linux Administrator with SFTP skills to join our IT team and manage our Linux servers and secure file transfer protocols. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux systems and SFTP servers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will also work closely with other IT staff and end-users to provide technical support and guidance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, update, and monitor Linux servers and SFTP servers.
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and audits of Linux systems and SFTP servers.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards, such as encryption, authentication, and authorization.
  • Diagnose and resolve Linux and SFTP issues, such as connectivity, performance, and access.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT staff on Linux and SFTP usage and best practices.
  • Document Linux and SFTP configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Research and evaluate new Linux and SFTP technologies and tools.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Linux Administrator, preferably with SFTP skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, commands, and utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of SFTP protocols, standards, and tools.
  • Experience with Linux and SFTP security, such as encryption, authentication, and authorization.
  • Experience with Linux and SFTP troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in Linux or SFTP is a plus.
