Job Description :We are seeking a skilled L3 Java Support Engineer with a solid background in Java development and extensive experience in supporting enterprise-level applications in the investment banking domain. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in a range of technologies including Java, Spring Boot, React, JPA, Oracle RDBMS, XML/FPML, TIBCO EMS, Apache Camel / Pulsar technologies, as well as scripting languages such as Shell and Python. Additionally, experience in scheduling jobs using Autosys is required.Responsibilities :Provide Level 3 support for Java-based applications within the investment banking domain.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement solutions for recurring problems.Develop and maintain scripts using Shell or Python for automation tasks.Utilize scheduling tools like Autosys for job automation and management.Demonstrate expertise in DevOps practices and tools including Confluence, JIRA, Junit, GitLab, SonarQube, Fish Eye / Crucible, Maven, Jenkins, and Ansible.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.Provide domain expertise in financial products and processes within the investment banking industry.Participate in the design and architecture discussions for new features and enhancements.Requirements :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5-8 years of experience in Java development and support roles.Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, React, JPA, Oracle RDBMS, XML/FPML, TIBCO EMS, Apache Camel / Pulsar technologies.Strong scripting skills using Shell and/or Python.Experience with scheduling jobs using Autosys.Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Junit, GitLab, SonarQube, Fish Eye / Crucible, Maven, Jenkins, and Ansible.Solid understanding of investment banking processes and financial products.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred Qualifications :Experience working in a fast-paced environment within the financial services industry.Knowledge of Agile methodologies.Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
