The Aviation & Federal (A&F) global practice has an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer that has a desire to apply technical design experience while actively engaging their entrepreneurial spirit to expand the A&F fueling group presence within BMcD India. The position is available for mechanical engineers with 4 years of relevant experience.

Burns & McDonnell is considered the leading consultant in the aircraft fueling industry. We are engaged in high visibility projects large and small at major airports. Additionally, the fueling department executes projects for major oil companies and other industrial clients, including pipeline terminals and truck loading facilities.

Successful candidate will work closely with GP manager to support the A&F Fueling team in US on projects and task. The candidate will perform as a hands-on engineer to grow the work and eventually will help with hiring & retention of engineers and designers as the team grows in size. There is a great potential for this position to become a leader in years to come.

Potential responsibilities of the position include the following:

.Mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion and construction support services.

.Development of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals of fuel storage facilities.

.Perform mechanical calculations and analysis (Ex: hydraulic calculations, surge analysis, pipe stress analysis).

.Assist in designing mechanical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers and lead engineer.

.Apply basic knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering services industry.

.Assist with developing and correcting design drawings using multiple CAD related software (Ex: AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit).

Experience in the following areas would be of high value:

.Fuel receipt, storage, and distribution facilities

.Fuel hydrant distribution systems

.Pipeline and transport truck fuel receipt systems

.Fuel storage tanks

.Distribution pumping systems

.Piping system hydraulic modeling

.Piping system stress analysis

.Oil water separation systems

.Single and double-wall fuel piping

.Familiarity with relevant industry standards including ATA 103, API 570, API 610, API 650, API 653, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, NFPA 30, and NFPA 407.

Qualifications

.Bachelor's degree required in mechanical engineering from accredited program.

.Minimum 4 years related experience.

.Successful candidate will have excellent written & verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.

.Knowledge in standard mechanical engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.

.Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and various CAD related software.

.Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

.Demonstrated leadership skills.
