As the Business Manager professional in our Asset & Wealth Management [AWM], you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm
Your role is for Business Manager to support the Asset & Wealth Management Technology leadership team. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the day-to-day running and management vertically aligned Technology organization, helping to shape the strategy and direction for the group. Business Managers act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for pro-actively identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.
Job Responsibilities - Financial Planning & Governance - Interlock with Technology partners to capture of Tech demand as part of the annual budget planning process. Collaborate with Finance managers on the Expense budgeting, reporting & Governance. Manage & govern the Headcount demands, have strong eye on open requisitions and Headcount movements & its impact on CTO forecast, continuously monitor and refine expenses into FSM & PI tools
- Partner with their technology teams to drive accurate and complete views of roadmap & Investment Plans
- Materials preparation, data gathering, tracking, and follow-up
- AWM Portfolio Oversight and Governance - Ensure that the standards, processes and governance of the AWM Tech portfolio are maintained and accurate on an on-going basis. Collaborate with deliver Mangers on Significant Products and application metric. Milestone Reporting of top headline Products. Monthly Pi Milestones hygiene reviews. Ensure Product Catalog aligns to Product Hierarchy
- Cost optimization / Efficiency analyses
- Governance & Executive Reporting
- Facilitate town hall meetings & interlock sessions, Tech town halls. Ad-hoc requests (in support of Technology & broader F&BM team)
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills - 5+ years' Business Management and/or FP&A experience, with an understanding of financial markets, asset management or related experience. Appreciation of technology and a data analysis a plus
- Passionate about partnering with senior team leaders to solve problems & drive strategy
- Able to work independently, within tight deadlines and able to prioritize workflow
- Experience managing complex, fast-paced, and multi-faceted projects and flexibility to meet changing requirements and priorities
- Ability to problem-solve, methodical and self-disciplined with attention to detail
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a willingness to develop a knowledge base
- Pro-active and excellent communicator with the ability to connect with audiences across different seniority levels
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills - Willing to accept responsibility and is driven to achieve excellence
