Job Overview;

As an Intellectual Property Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the intellectual property (IP) team in various tasks related to patents, IP drafting, whitespace analysis, and IP management. Your responsibilities will contribute to the protection and management of the organization's intellectual assets.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Patent Search:  

• Conduct comprehensive patent searches to identify existing patents, prior art, and potential obstacles. 
• Utilize various databases and tools to perform thorough patent searches and provide relevant information to support IP strategy. 

2 . IP Drafting:  

• Assist in the preparation and drafting of patent applications, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of inventions.
• Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and legal professionals to gather necessary information for patent drafting. 

3.  Whitespace Analysis:  

• Conduct whitespace analysis to identify opportunities for innovation by analyzing existing patents and market trends. 
• Evaluate the competitive landscape and provide insights on potential areas for new intellectual property development. 

4 . IP Management:  

• Support in the management of the organization's intellectual property portfolio. 
• Maintain and update databases with accurate information related to patents, trademarks, and other intellectual assets. 
• Coordinate with legal professionals to ensure compliance with deadlines, filings, and renewals. 

5.  Documentation and Reporting:  

• Prepare detailed reports on patent searches, whitespace analysis, and IP portfolio management. 
• Maintain organized and comprehensive documentation of all intellectual property-related activities. 

6 . Stay Informed:  

• Stay abreast of changes in intellectual property laws and regulations. 
• Continuously update knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications: 

• B.Tech Chemical Engineer having experience in IPR. 
• Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations.

Requirement; 

• Minimum 2-3 yrs. of experience in this field. 
• Experience in patent searching, drafting, and portfolio management is preferred. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and databases for patent research and management.
