Job description
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Developer to join our dynamic team.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Snowflake SQL proficient scripting abilities in Unix and Python and a strong background in Extract Load and Transform (ELT) processes.The successful candidate will be responsible for writing SQL queries developing scripts and ensuring the efficient flow of data within the Snowflake environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Snowflake SQL Expertise : Proficient in writing SQL queries against Snowflake.Develop scripts in Unix Python etc. for Extract Load and Transform data processes.
Snowflake Utilities : Handson experience with Snowflake utilities including SnowSQL SnowPipe Python Tasks Streams Time travel Optimizer Metadata Manager data sharing and stored procedures.
ProblemSolving and Continuous Improvement : Demonstrate complex problemsolving capabilities with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Analytic and Creative Skills : Must possess analytic creative and selfmotivated qualities.
Collaborative Team Player : Work effectively within a global team environment fostering collaboration and efficient communication.
ETL Tools and Programming Skills : Utilize ETL tool DBT and demonstrate advanced SQL skills coupled with proficient Python scripting.
Data Modeling and Mapping : Exhibit proficiency in data modeling and sourcetotarget mapping skills.
Snowflake Certification : Mandatory requirement for the candidate to hold Snowflake Certification.
Database Expertise : Strong familiarity with Snowflake or any SQL flavor.
Communication and Documentation : Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Agile Delivery Process : Familiarity with Agile delivery processes.
Data Models and Artefacts : Experience and familiarity with various data models and artefacts such as entity relationship diagrams conceptual models logical models star schemas and third normal form.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Proven work experience as a Snowflake Developer or similar role.
Snowflake Certification is mandatory.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Familiarity with Agile delivery processes.
Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
