Job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing processes. You will collaborate closely with our development team to understand requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and report any issues or defects found. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
Design and execute test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
Perform manual and automated testing as needed, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
Identify and report software defects, track issues through resolution, and verify fixes.
Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues, providing detailed information as needed.
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing tools to enhance skills and knowledge.
Document test procedures, results, and findings for reference and future use.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize testing efforts and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Testing Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are desirable.
