Job description
The General Corporate Security Lead is responsible for delivering the Corporate Security strategy for the local market implementing, maintaining and operating physical security policies, standards and compliance including personnel security, vetting, travel security and personal security for senior executives. They control access to facilities, equipment and resources, and protect personnel and property from damage or harm. Including CCTV surveillance, security guards, protective barriers, locks, and access control protocols.The General Corporate Security Lead is recognised as a specialist in corporate security and is responsible for responding to security threats and ensuring that the security threats are mitigated through the creation of a robust management system of relevant activities.Typically reports to the Senior General Corporate Security Manager.
. As a recognised specialist in corporate security, advises the local market on remedial actions following security breaches
. Has an in-depth understanding of corporate security and delivers clear advice and counsel to stakeholders across the business
. Uses best practice knowledge and experiences to improve Vodafone practice and standards suggesting improvements to security processes and services
. Demonstrates strong communication and diplomacy skills, working collaboratively across the corporate security function to ensure appropriate risk assessments and security plans are maintained and delivered
. Reporting on security status for the General Security Manager, continuously improving and ensuring security plans are adhered to
. Direct responsibility for the maintenance of policy frameworks ensuring compliance with frameworks
. Provide expert support and guidance to the local market
. May provide informal guidance to junior staff.
