Job description
Location- Anywhere in India (Delhi NCR, Notice Period- Up to 60 days Experience level- More than 6 Years of relevant experience in MSSQL. Candidate should have worked as a core L3.
Primary Skill ? SQL Server DBA & Secondary Skill ? Migration, SQL Azure, DR Experience in installation of different version of SQL SERVER (2016, 2014, 2012, 2008R2/2008) in both OLTP and OLAP lower regions and Production environments and SQL Azure. Played a leading role in database maintenance, Security, upgrading and Performance Tuning. Implemented High Availability & Disaster Recovery techniques like Always on Availability Groups, Clustering (Both Active-Active and Active-Passive) Database Mirroring, Transactional Replication and Log Shipping. Upgraded and Migrated of SQL Server databases from SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008R2/ 2012 to SQL Server 2014/2016 and SQL Azure. Daily routine DBA tasks like handling user's permissions and space issues on Production and Semi-Production Servers and handling maintenance Jobs. Hands on experience in working with MSSQL SERVER 2005, 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2014 features and extensive knowledge on SQL 2016 new features and SQL Azure. Exquisite skills in SSMS-Creating and scheduling jobs, alerts and operators with SQL Server Agent, handling Backup/Recovery of databases, Replication, Linked Servers, and databases Maintenance, Database Mails Experience in Performance Tuning, Index Tuning, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Query Optimization, Client/Server connectivity and Database Consistency Checks using DBCC Utilities, DMVs and DMFs. Monitoring the different server including backup, disk space, Job failures, connectivity, and performances. Hands-on experience in resolving locks deadlocks, handling Isolation levels and performance issues like CPU, I/O, Memory bottlenecks. Working knowledge in Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS) and Clustering Experience in using DMV and dynamic management function for finding out long running Queries. Adept at proving database troubleshooting issues like Locking, Blocking and Deadlocking, fail over maintenance and database recovery. Extensively used tools like SQL Profiler, Index Tuning Wizard, and Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Windows Performance Monitor for monitoring and tuning MS SQL Server performance. Experience in creating Jobs, Alerts, and schedule DTS/SSIS Packages. Identifying waits and bottlenecks at the database and OS level. Strong analytical abilities and strong communication skills 8+ years of experience as SQL server DBA Knowledge of ITIL framework Experience on designing of Disaster Recovery Plan; knowledge on RPO, RTO Experience on Log shipping, DB Mirroring and Always on configurations Experience on Bandwidth Estimation Experience on DR Drill Support for Log shipping/Mirroring/Always on and storage replication like SRDF. Experience on Automated failover. Support DR Team for best Practices on DR management. Experience on Database Snapshots, SRM, and DR Test using different replication methodologies. Experience on Business continuity and DR procedures and policies.Job tags
