Job description
The Technical Writer must possess writing skills, attention to detail, interpersonal communication skills, document management skills and the ability to approach writing projects in a well-organized manner. The Technical Writer is responsible for utilizing report templates, excel macros, technical manuals, and process documents. The writer needs to communicate with our technical and business staff to compose quality customer deliverables. Knowledge of appropriate punctuation, grammar, Microsoft Word processes and Microsoft Excel processes are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Interface with technical team to determine reporting requirements of a given project
- Collect data from various sources and validate preliminary data
- Insert and format data into standard reporting templates
- Generate client report deliverables in Word format
- Revise reports as required by technical team
Required Skills:
- Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including chart generation
- Excellent attention to details of report content including formatting, aesthetics, content, and flow
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple competing timelines and deliverables
- Strong Windows-based computer skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including grammar, syntax and punctuation
Required Experience:
- 2-3 years of report writer or analyst experience preferred
Required Education:
- A technical bachelor's degree preferred
