Prime Responsibility :-

· To Lead and manage the electrical engineering and design project team for the Onshore (upstream and downstream), Offshore and FPSO projects.

· Shall have experience in various phases of the projects viz. Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Support to Construction team on need basis.

· Ensure that the Electrical  design meets the statutory and Client's requirements and comply with Codes and Standards applicable for the project

· Ensure design packages comply with the Company Safety in Design manuals and meet the relevant safety, environmental and ergonomic standards.

· Initiating and Maintaining Quality Assurance requirements of the Project procedures

· Shall be conversant with Local and International Codes and Standards (IEC, IP, NEC, IEEE, API etc). Preferable to have knowledge with Client standards such as Shell DEP’s, TOTAL GS, Exxon Mobil GP’s etc.

· Shall have in depth knowledge and hands on experience in Hazardous Area Classification per both IEC and NEC and selection of electrical equipment for the classified areas.

· Shall be capable of managing the team effectively and to ensure adherence to project schedule, quality and budget.

· Shall be responsible for delivering the following documents and drawings for the project based on the scope:

- Electrical design Basis and Philosophy

- Calculations including Load analysis, Equipment Sizing, Cable sizing, Lighting, Earthing and Lightning Protection.

- Overall SLD and detailed SLD’s, Control Schematics

Power system studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, 

- Transient Motor starting, Harmonic analysis and Protection Coordination) using SKM or ETAP

- Technical specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment which typically includes Generators, Transformers, HV and LV Switchboards, AC & DC UPS, HV, LV Motors, Submarine cables etc.

- Engineering Requisitions for electrical equipment and procurement support including Bid Evaluation, PO Spec / Datasheets, and Vendor drawings review.

- Electrical equipment layouts, cable schedules and MTO.

- Navigational Aids layout

- Interconnection drawings

· Participation in design review meetings with the project Manager and other discipline Lead Engineers  

· Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimise areas of interface during the design, review and check processes.  Administration      requirements for the project.

- Providing support to Business development and Proposals including preparation of Man hour estimates and CTR’s.

-Stand in for Electrical Discipline Head role managing the entire electrical team and liaise with engineering manager as and when required.

- Providing training to the Graduate Engineers and Industrial Attachment Students.
