Manufacturing process & Material science experience. About role: Coordination with EM centers OR Geo-units to understand their business (demand) & pain points (supply challenges). Engage STS-I sustaining team for design development / modifications / clarifications etc for design solutions OR DFM input / execution, Engagement with Division / Business commercial managers to showcase the capabilities / strengths of low-cost country suppliers & support Geo-units to enable them for cost competitiveness, improved delivery performance OR sustainable quality products. Understanding & developing the supply base in cost competitive regions (e.G. Asian countries etc) to meet the EM centers OR Geo-units Procurement needs (cost, quality, capacity, lead time, compliance risk mitigation, business continuity etc). Conducting the Procurement events for specific projects / tenders (Techno-commercial discussion with suppliers, negotiation, supplier audits, contract execution, coordination with local SC / sustaining team for PPQP, execution of PPQP etc). Coordinating with EM / TLM centers’ sustaining teams for PPQP draft, acceptance criteria, qualify the supplier & monitor the contract. Key responsibilities: Implement Procurement plans with the goal of assuring specified quality, meeting required delivery times, and minimizing cost. Document the performance of action plans and timelines for assigned procurement projects. Select a high-performance supply base for assigned portfolio, in accordance with a short-list of preferred suppliers defined by Category Managers. Conduct requests for information, quotation, information, proposal (RFI/Q/P) and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and cost. Evaluate current and prospective suppliers through supplier reviews, site visits and audits, in coordination with Supplier Quality teams, to assure supply capabilities, on-time delivery, quality and service. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to meet specified quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with Procurement Manager and Contract Specialists. Drive the parts and process qualification in coordination with Supplier Quality teams. Work closely with Procurement Manager or Procurement Leader to guarantee supply for portfolios. Identify opportunities and implement actions to continually reduce wasted time, money, and resources from assigned tasks. Comply with SLB and local procedures applicable to the job function. Qualifications and Experience: Having a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Background 5-8 Years Interest in Supply Chain (exploring suppliers, RFQ, contract execution etc) Exposure to commercial interactions (obtaining quotations, comparisons, negotiations etc) Aspiration OR mindset to develop new manufacturing technologies for cost effective & cleaner scenario. This is a hybrid position, with the expectation to come into the office two days a week. Other skills and abilities: Ability to work in globally distributed setting without supervision.
