About the role
The candatate is expected to manage finance & accounts function of Carrier Commercial refergeration (buiness unit of Carrier India) which is the entity representing $ 30M Business in India. We are looking for a passionate, self-driven and experienced professional to join our team! The main objective of this role is to oversee and supervise the day-to-day accounting operations. This involves ensuring that all company transactions are accurately and promptly recorded and that proper accounting procedures are followed. The Financial Controller is responsible for generating essential financial reports and other key information used in management decision-making processes. The incumbent will be responsible for smooth conduct of various audits and other compliances.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and oversee the accounting and financial functions including general accounting and preparation of the Month close financial statements.
2. Managing all finance and accounting operations including invoicing, A/R, A/P, ledger scrutiny, cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed assets accounting, revenue recognition, etc.,
3. Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures working with the accounting team and Finance BP.
4. Maintain and update accounting systems and software to ensure accurate and complete record-keeping of company transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
5. Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations departments on sales and related initiatives to ensure robust accounting processes.
6. Prepare financial statements, sales and margin reports, SGA reports, Supplemental reports and other management review reports as scheduled or as needed.
7. Produce quarterly and annual filings as required and applicable as per GAAP requirements
8. Collaborate and liaison with external Stautory and internal/SOX auditors during quarterly and annual year-end audits and finalization of accounts.
9. Ensure and strengthen internal controls (ICFR) and comply with guidelines and SOPs circulated by corporate.
10. Prepare presentations to seek approval or reveiws requirements of Asia office
11. Liaison and interaction with Holding company to address queries relating to financial statements and support details as required.
12. Review and approve credit to customers and periodic AR reviews with sales team
13. Identify area of process improvement and contribute to a team environment that is focused on high performance and operational excellence.
14. Special projects and tasks as directed
Relevant Experience & Skills
Good Accounting Knowledge
Analytical and Problem-Solving ability for trouble shooting.
Good communication skills
Proficient in SAP
Requirements
Working in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage
Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant
Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of corporate experience in Finance & Controlling
