Job description
Research leader is a strategic role that serves our buy-side and sell-side clients and guides investment strategies of our clients and their investors. Operating at the intersection of in-depth financial analysis, digital transformation, and strategic foresight, the leader is expected to anticipate shifts and emerging trends, navigate market volatility with precision and guide our clients in key strategic decisions. This role will guide a high of equity research analysts and strategists and nurture client relationships with some of the world's most innovative organizations including the largest asset managers, pension funds, PE firms, Hedge Funds, and Investment Banks. As an Equity Research leader, you will take an active part in driving the vision of our practice. This role is for a subject-matter expert and a strong operator who will be responsible for maintaining excellence in delivering insights, mentoring team, managing client dialogue, and building thought leadership.
This role will have the following key responsibilities: Strategic Direction: Manage a team of skilled research analysts and conduct in-depth equity research, driving the development of investment strategies, market outlooks, sector analyses. Data-Driven Insights: Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex financial data to build investment thesis, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, enabling well-informed investment recommendations. Research Excellence: Elevate the quality of our equity research reports, ensuring they provide valuable and actionable insights into growth catalysts, companies' financial performance, competitive landscape, and growth potential. Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their investment goals, providing clear and concise research findings that aid in decision-making. Market Expertise: Stay at the forefront of macroeconomic trends to anticipate shifts and refine our research strategies accordingly. Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of PoVs and industry leading whitepapers, presentations, other engagements. Team Empowerment: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, guiding team members to enhance their skills and expertise. Assist in scaling the business and drive the agenda for Digital Transformation including applications of Generative AI in Research operations, Financial Statement automation, RPA, Natural Language Generation, etc. Research the competitive landscape and perform market validation. Create SOPs, systems and processes for knowledge capture and Organizational Excellence. About the Candidate I. Candidate will possess natural leadership capabilities with 8 – 15 years of professional experience. II. A post Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or CFA designation is a plus. Expertise in Equity Research: A proven track record of successfully leading equity research teams with a deep understanding of valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and industry analysis. IV. Analytical Mastery: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. V. Leadership Excellence: A history of leading small to mid-size teams, fostering collaboration, and encouraging innovation. VI. Market Acumen: A solid grasp of global financial markets, economic indicators, and industry dynamics. VII. Effective Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. VIII. Quality focused with attention to detail and client service. IX. Excellent presentation Skills. Strong communication skills and ability to present the proposals to clients at Senior level. X.
