Job description
This role will involve working with a global team in Global Business Services (GBS) for the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with further expansion opportunities, standardizing transactional processing, and leading efforts to transform the process be to create and operate a structured, sustainable, and efficient Global Customer, Supplier, and GPH (Global Product Hierarchy) Team in a GBS Model. Specifically, the transformation will include supporting a team of Pricing and Marketing Analytics. Supplier, and GPH (Global Product Hierarchy) scope in GBS locations to a GBS Model, transition of the different connected activities still performed in legacy locations into the GBS organization, and thereafter improving business processes, driving results by providing transparency, creating efficiencies through innovative solutions, with a focus on standardization and improved governance by mastering and enriching data that responds, targets, and aligns business opportunities for the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. This role will be responsible for leading and improving the availability of mastered and enriched Customer data that will have foundational and increase performance for the sales and finance organizations. Responsibilities: . Work team of approximatively 10+ employees (with further growth potential), for Pricing with key stakeholders across Vertiv . Monitor and deliver optimal performance within the three regions, ensuring all opportunities and risks are understood and managed by GBS executive team. Education and Experience: . Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. . Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets. . Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. . Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets. . Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management. . A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets. . Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores. . Strong project management and organizational skills. . Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. . Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra. . Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc. . Experience with AWS, AZURE cloud services in Machine learning and AI . Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc. . Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. . Strong skills in one of the common data science toolkits such as Python and R etc. . Solid skills in SQL and proficiency in one of the programming languages such as Python / Scala, C#, Java and C++. . For Senior Data Engineer, strong skills in designing Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture, strong skills in designing and implementing data storage (such as Azure SQL Data Warehouse, AWS Redshift and Oracle), expert in one or more data integration technologies (such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Datastage, Microsoft SSIS and Talend) and experience in data model design for visualization. . Development experience in Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop. . Proficient in tools such as Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus . A minimum of 2 years Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Snowflake. . Knowledge in enterprise data storage and transformation platforms such as ETL tools from Azure, AWS and GCP would be an advantage. . Knowledge in RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL, IBM and Database platform tools such as Snowflake, MS SQL, Azure Synapse, Databricks, DW/DL etc. and related experience would be an advantage. . Experience in MLOps and DevOps will be an advantage. . Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or related field/experience . At least 8 years of business experience utilizing best-in-class business intelligence, customer data governance/master data, and data analytics methods. . At least 4 years in a business leadership role effectively leading others to achieve functional business goals through master data enrichment practices, team development and related projects . Experience of working at a senior level in a complex environment, managing teams and processes with a wide range of stakeholders . Experience of translating strategy into delivery through plans, programs, people, and culture
