Lab Assistance
Overview:
As a Lab Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth functioning of the laboratory. Your attention to detail adherence to protocols and teamwork will directly contribute to the efficiency and success of the lab operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for experiments and tests
- Assist in conducting experiments and recording data accurately
- Handle and maintain laboratory samples with strict adherence to safety guidelines
- Support in inventory management and stock control of lab supplies
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Participate in the development and improvement of standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with team members to accomplish research goals and project tasks
- Contribute to the documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Manage waste disposal in compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of experiments tests and procedures
- Provide general administrative support to laboratory staff
- Assist in the training of new lab personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned by the lab supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific field
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred
- Strong understanding of lab techniques and protocols
- Proficient in data recording and analysis
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records
- Familiarity with sample handling and storage procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of inventory management practices
- Adherence to safety and compliance regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
