Role Description
The Assistant Manager - Research and Development is responsible for leading development projects and managing the R&D team. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pune. The Assistant Manager - Research and Development will design, develop, and modify products, processes, and equipment to meet customer needs and respond to market trends. The Assistant Manager will also manage and mentor the R&D team, ensuring that all projects are progressing smoothly and on time within budget.
Responsibilities:
● Create 3D models, assemblies, and drawings in CAD software (Solidworks/Fusion 360).
● Good knowledge of manufacturing processes like sheet metal, plastic parts, and fabrication of parts from design.
● Prototype 3D designs to evaluate feasibility.
● Responsible for Bill of Material and production document creation, and modifications.
● Evaluate all mechanical aspects to ensure the product design meets the product life cycle requirement.
● Document, validate & maintain the data of assembled components.

● Strong knowledge of plastic designing and manufacturing process constraints & development.
● Ability to clearly understand requirements and translate them to the scope of work.
● Excellent team player with great communication skills (written, and verbal).
● Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated.
● Good team player across the organization and a quick learning attitude.
● Good understanding of design and engineering fundamentals, GD&T.
● Result orientation and focus on details.
