Job description
Compensation Analyst will support end to end planning and execution of compensation budgets and programs in India across multiple locations, in addition to supporting the compensation team in consulting with HR business partners and line managers on compensation activity in each area of the business. The analyst is also directly responsible for data cleaning, preparation of reports and data accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Compensation team with compensation design, analysis, comp expense budgeting/forecasting and the implementation of new or revised compensation programs
- Supports administration of year-end compensation cycle including annual compensation planning and administration of salary range, structure development, merit increases, budget projections, bonus and STI processing
- Monitors labor market trends and continuously evaluate market competitiveness of compensation structures and practices
- Participates in compensation and benefits benchmarking process including job matching, TR survey participation, survey submission and results analysis
- Supports with planned or ad-hoc reporting requirements and related analytics including job analysis and compensation / benefits analysis
- Addresses compensation & benefits related queries from employees and support with employee communications, as required
- Provides guidance on proposed compensation requests (job levelling, banding, salary / benefits benchmarking) for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices
- Analyses the compensation data against the established policies and reports non-compliant cases and behavior
- Improves current state of function through automation and repeatable report creation for respective businesses
- Runs the audit reports and informs C&B Manager about the results of audit tests
- Learns C&B processes and practices to advance the career
- Cleans reported data and checks the data quality
Knowledge and Experience
- MBA / Master s degree in a related field
- 3+ years of experience working in a corporate compensation or compensation consulting environment
- Experience managing large amounts of data and executing basic to moderately complex analytics accurately and independently using Excel
- Team player with flexible attitude - willingness to and interest in contributing beyond job specifications as needed
- Able to establish collaborative relationships across all organizational levels and functions

Good to have
- Familiarity with any of the standard benchmarking processes and tools
- Familiarity with industry job frameworks
- Knowledge of various benefits practices in the IT/ITeS industry
- Experience in handling annual insurance renewal cycle including benefits benchmarking and analysis, program design and roll out
- Understanding on labor laws and up to date with the statutory and compliance requirements
- Exposure to relationship management with vendors
