Job Title: Sr Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Team Leader, Operations
Location: Bangalore
Purpose:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is recruiting a process engineer who can foster innovation and improve customer experience by helping the operations team with instrument validations, new equipment introduction and equipment maintenance in the manufacturing operations
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform Risk Assessment in the capacity of a Process Engineer for various equipment in Operations.
- Development of documentation for equipment and facility validation (URS, VMP, FS, VP, IQ, OQ, etc.) as the need arises.
- Provide design inputs for new process equipment/utilities from the perspective of a Process Engineer.
- Drive PPI’s, continuous improvement initiatives in terms of time, quality, and cost.
- Draw process maps, Generate mass and energy balances for key processes.
- Perform Re-Validation of equipment and maintain validation status.
- Maintain Engineering Documentation and Archival (P&IDs, etc).
- Commissioning of Process Equipment and associated Utilities.
- Work on Manufacturing Science Projects, NPI projects as assigned.
- Scheduling of Production Process for assigned Projects and Activities.
- Generation of documents and Support to JSA and HIRA.
Other Requirements
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree (Life science or instrumentation engineering or chemical engineering)
- Experience of 1-3 years in the life science/Biotech or relevant manufacturing operations field.
- Requires strong digital literacy, including Microsoft office.
- Display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly detailed and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and handle time optimally.
- Customer orientated and ability to adapt/respond to different types of tasks.
- Flexible to work in Night Shifts.
- Familiarity with compliance & regulatory standards.
- Plans and organizes work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in working with ERP systems is an added advantage for this position.
