Job description
Odyssey is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Architect and Product Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, interior design, and product development, with a passion for sustainability and a keen eye for detail. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the Senior Architect and Product Designer will play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and executing sustainable architectural products and solutions that push the boundaries of eco-conscious design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to develop innovative architectural products and solutions that align with Odyssey' vision and values.
- Lead the design process from concept to completion, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and refinement.
- Create detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and specifications for product manufacturing and installation.
- Conduct research on sustainable materials, manufacturing processes, and design trends to inform product development.
- Work closely with external suppliers, manufacturers, and craftsmen to ensure the highest quality and sustainability standards are met.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews to gather feedback and ensure project objectives are met.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative and creative work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in architecture, interior design, and product development, with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Excellent conceptualization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of sustainable design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions, sustainable projects, and architectural products.
