The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of video content across various projects. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in video editing, a keen eye for detail, and a creative mindset to enhance storytelling through visual elements. Experience: 6 - 8 yrs Job Location: Bangalore, work from office Joining Date: As soon as possible Employment Type: Full Time, permanent Date of joining: ASAP Responsibilities: Understand the script and visual flow / storyboard and execute the video edit into polished, visually engaging videos that align with project objectives and client requirements. Collaborate with the creative team, including producers, directors, and cinematographers, to develop compelling visual narratives. Are well-versed in editing corporate, documentary, commercials and event videos Utilize advanced editing techniques, including color grading, sound design, and motion graphics, to enhance the overall impact of videos. Work independently with minimal supervision Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing and post-production techniques. Mentor and provide guidance to junior editors, fostering their professional growth and development. Work closely with client servicing/ creative team to understand their vision and requirements, incorporating feedback into the editing process as needed. Maintain organized file management and project documentation to ensure efficient workflow and seamless collaboration. Well equipped with knowledge of file format and use of camera Requirements: Bachelor's degree in film production, media studies, or a related field will be an added advantage Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of editing styles and techniques. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Solid understanding of visual storytelling principles, including pacing, rhythm, and continuity. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision under tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Creative mindset and a passion for exploring new ideas and innovative approaches to video editing. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.Job tags
