3181 Job Purpose In this role you will be responsible for Incoming quality & supplier quality assurance, to ensure defect free supply of parts to production line and continuous development of vendors to improve part quality, also to support new/alternate vendor development for various new/existing products.
Dimensions This position reports directly to Manager QA.
All incoming inspection & supplier quality team will report to this position.
Responsibilities - To ensure defect free supply of parts to production line.
- To ensure consistency in quality through Green/Red flag system.
- Conduct regular supplier audit with respect to annual calendar for continuous improvement and development of suppliers.
- Monitor supplier PPM and identify route cause for high PPM suppliers to take proper actions against them, along with preventive actions to avoid such kind of failure in future.
- Analyse line rejection & in-coming rejections to track repeated issues and address the same with proper CAPA and monitor few batches to check effectiveness of CAPA.
- Maintain tracker for submitted parts for new product development and ensure to get it approved though proper channel along with proper documentation within given time frame.
- To maintain tracker for submitted part for development of new/alternate vendor and ensure its approval through proper outsourcing request and full documentation.
- Conduct internal quality management system audits and prepare internal audit reports and do follow up closer of reported non-conformance if any.
- Analyse supplier NCR register and discuss with supplier for identified actions for the reported issue and timely closer of the same.
- To conduct case-based audits/visits at supplier end to identify route cause of the reported issue and prepare detailed audit report along with all necessary supporting evident & documents.
- Active participation in continuous improvement meetings to hit on part specific issues and resolve the same from route.
- Raise engineering change request as and when required for continuous improvement.
- Guide and motivate team members on continuous basis as and when required for routine work as well as in heavy workload situations to maximize their efforts and productivity.
- Carry out calibration of measuring Instrument and maintain valid calibration status.
Tasks - Conduct Daily rejection Meeting & decide action with CFT.
- Release of rejection data to all concern(weekly)
- Conduct Forthrightly NCR review meeting.
- Participate in daily production meeting, various CFT meetings to understand priorities of business and accordingly delegate tasks to team members.
- Prepare monthly report for Quality.
Tools Microsoft Dynamics. Microsoft Office, Teamcenter.
Behavioural Competencies Excellent communication skills, Team Player.
Skills - Problem solving, 8D, FMEA. ISO Auditor, Supplier Audit.
Education Experience BE/B Tech Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics (Preferred Mechanical)
Min 10 years of relevant experience in field of quality assurance.
Hands-on experience in ISO Standards for ISO 9001 & Material standards.
Knowledge in various manufacturing processes like sheet metal fabrication, Powder coating, machining, Electrical/Electronic part assemblies. etc.
