Job Title: FO/HSD Operator
Department: Operations / Maintenance
Location: Trichy
Reports To: Operations Manager / Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
As an FO/HSD Operator you are responsible for the operation maintenance and monitoring of Furnace Oil (FO) and HighSpeed Diesel (HSD) equipment and systems. Your role includes inspecting equipment to detect malfunctions performing repairs and lubrication taking periodic readings and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of FO/HSD systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Inspection and Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections of FO/HSD equipment to detect malfunctions such as pump leaks worn bearings or other operational issues.
- Perform routine maintenance repairs and lubrication of equipment using appropriate hand tools and techniques.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
Operational Monitoring and Recording:
- Monitor the operation of FO/HSD systems taking periodic readings of flowmeters pressure gauges fuel meters thermometers and other recording equipment.
- Record and analyze data to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the FO/HSD systems.
Troubleshooting and ProblemSolving:
- Identify operational issues or inefficiencies and implement effective solutions to address them.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and external technicians for complex repairs or technical challenges.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the safe operation of FO/HSD systems.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory and environmental standards pertaining to FO/HSD operations.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of maintenance work inspections repairs and operational data.
- Prepare and submit regular reports detailing the status of FO/HSD systems and any maintenance or operational issues.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanical maintenance operations or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an FO/HSD Operator or in a similar role with handson experience in equipment inspection maintenance and operation.
- Familiarity with FO/HSD systems and the specific operational and maintenance requirements.

Proficiency in using billing and inventory management systems. Basic understanding of audiovisual equipment and technology. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Sales-driven with a passion for exceeding targets.
