Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  3. Prepare financial statements and reports to summarize and interpret the company's financial position.
  4. Monitor and analyse budget performance, providing insights to support decision-making.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and compliance with regulations.
  6. Process payroll and maintain accurate records of employee compensation and benefits.
  7. Handle return filings, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documents.
  8. Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and implement necessary changes.
  9. Assist in the preparation for audits and work with external auditors as needed.
  10. Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  11. Generate financial forecasts and support financial planning initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  7. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  8. Analytical mindset for problem-solving and decision-making.
  9. CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
