Job description

To plan, organize and manage Factory QA team and maintain effective communication throughout the department and with all respective departments and work towards a common goal. To lead the Factory QA team and execute all Factory QA activities in their respective factory in achieving company policy and objectives including implementation of Company's Integrated Food Safety & Quality Management.

Job Summary:

• To plan, organize and manage Factory QA team.
• Review and monitor Quality Plan procedure as well as monitor and validate processes to ensure daily production activities are comply to Quality Plan.
• Review and analyse product stability by establishing ongoing shelf-life assessment.
• Ensure all inspection plan and master characteristic of new and existing products are being maintained in SAP QM module accordingly.
• Ensure expired or non-conforming materials and products has deposition action including re-verification and disposal.
• Work closely with Group QA on food safety & regulatory related updates.
• Act as a liaison between Group QA and Factory QA in establishing and implementing quality standards and strategies that comply with all regulations & standards required by local law as well as company's standard.
• Responsible for implementing and reviewing quality manual & procedure, checklist, training notes and other supporting documents at factory level aligned to company policy and direction.
• Work closely with other related departments in supporting and maintaining company's Integrated Food Safety & Quality Management System and Halal requirements to achieve the company's Quality Policy and Objectives.
• Initiate and lead Factory QA team in all continuous improvements activities and studies in relation with products' quality and safety improvement and execute follow-up actions.
• Ensure periodic quality audits being conducted at factory level to ensure premise and operations comply with documented specification.
• Participate in suppliers audits and follow up on the supplier's corrective or preventive actions, where applicable.
• Review submission and monitor of annual budget for operations and improvement from Factory QA.
• Oversee the laboratory management including maintenance, inventory & test method development.
• Liaise with vendors pertaining pest control program, calibration, and third party lab testing and work towards effective implementation between vendor and factory person-in-charge.
• Liaise with suppliers pertaining chemicals, laboratory appliances and food contact surfaces related documents in compliance to applicable IMS requirements.
• Involved in external audits and coordinate with other related departments to ensure follow up audit actions are implemented effectively.

Jobs Requirements:

• Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or equivalent, with minimum 8 years' relevant QA in Food related industry.
• Having experience in high volume manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• Good leadership, strong interpersonal skill, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
