Overview

The Senior Cosmetic Executive plays a crucial role in leading the cosmetic department, developing innovative beauty products, and driving sales growth while staying abreast of market trends and consumer preferences. This position is vital in ensuring the success and competitiveness of the organization within the cosmetic industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the cosmetic department, including product development, branding, and marketing strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to develop and introduce new cosmetic products that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product launches and promotions.
  • Provide strategic direction for product positioning, pricing, and assortment planning.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive product awareness and sales.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and expand the cosmetic product line.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and terms for product sourcing.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, market share, and competitive activities.
  • Oversee the forecasting and budgeting activities for the cosmetic department.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards for cosmetic products.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of the cosmetic team to foster a high-performing work environment.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategies and business plans for the cosmetic department.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in cosmetic product management, brand management, or marketing.
  • Proven track record of successful product development and brand management in the cosmetic industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive business growth.
  • Excellent knowledge of cosmetic market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies for cosmetic products.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards for cosmetic products.
  • Ability to travel for industry events, trade shows, and business meetings as necessary.
  • Certification in Cosmetic Science or related field is a plus.
