Job description
The logistics executive will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing, managing and evaluation of the supply chain/logistics operations/activities of project. Must also work with internal and external teams to ensure proper statutory clearances, surveys, loading/unloading, looking after shipping, delivery schedule for various shipments, etc.
Roles and responsibilities: -
- Handling Logistical needs in coordination with various service providers & shipping agents for temp. /permanent Import, Re-export of vessels, equipment, consumables to be deployed for project.
- Various statutory Clearances from govt. bodies. Like ONGC, MoD, MOHA, EC, NSC, SPL, etc.
- Planning and Managing Marine Logistics activities /Operations: Vessel Movements like Sail-in, Sail-Out, ballasting de-ballasting of cargo barges, Vessel Surveys, arranging and Monitoring for bunker supply,
- To coordinate for Cargo supply, monitoring, handling, securing, packaging/stuffing operations, Road Transportation needs,
- To Coordinate with Commercial team for purchase of material and services, monitoring & follow up, Chartering vessels based on project requirements, Arrangement of Fuel and Fresh Water, Mooring requirements. Taking various services from different service providers, coordination with agents for cargo clearance.
- Surveys- Coordination with surveyors for various Surveys (On/Off-hire, IRS Towing Survey, bunkering, warranty, Valuation, etc.)
- Monitoring and tracking of all services, keeping stats, records all activities, etc.
- Knowledge & Experience on SAP, Preparation PR, PO, WO and Invoice processing in SAP PS/ MM system.
- Attend weekly meetings of Marine Services, Project Team, SCM for the ongoing projects and prioritising of work.
Skills/Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of system, priorities of services and project deliverables.
- Preparation and tracking of service register.
- Knowledge in the use of computers and several basic software applications such as Excel, Word, and Power point for executing work processes.
- Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
- Support the SCM team and Project Management Team in planning and identifying issues that could limit progress or impact project budgets.
- Prior experience in Oil and Gas projects.
