Role/Department This role is part of Accounts Payable (AP) function of Northern Trust. Candidate needs to have a good understanding of various AP functions & broad level linkage to Procurement & Finance processes. The candidate will be placed within one of the vertical within AP and will report to Team Lead of the vertical.
Job Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the role include: - Process vendor invoices and/or employee reimbursement claims
- Perform validations of invoice & employee reimbursement claims based on the check list
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transaction processing
- Resolve exceptions related to vendor invoices and/or employee reimbursement claims
- Respond to customer queries and support customer with their queries
- Prepare daily, weekly & monthly processing reports
- Update the process documents & user guides
- Proactively researches and resolves problems encountered with performing daily tasks and refers more complex problems to manager or team leader
- Performs administrative tasks including maintaining files, coordinating audits, completing special projects, and interacting with internal and external customers
Knowledge/Skills - Good understanding of Accounts Payable functions
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advance level) & should be able to handle large set of data and prepare reports
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Viso (preferable & will be a plus)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Logical thinking & ability challenge the status quo
- 4 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Commerce graduate
- Knowledge of Coupa
